A promise for the weary

Feeling lost? You are not forgotten.

Life can leave us feeling lost, overwhelmed, or far from God. But the message of Jesus is one of hope.

The Bible tells us that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. You don't need to have all the answers. You don't need to have your life figured out. You can begin right where you are.

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

01 · Why we need Jesus

Why do we need Jesus?

Every one of us has made mistakes. Every one of us has fallen short.

The Bible calls this sin. Sin is more than simply doing something wrong. It is living apart from God's will.

And sin separates us from the relationship with God that we were created to have.

We were made to know God.

The ache we feel is not proof that we are forgotten. It points to the relationship we were created for.

God created humanity to know Him. But every person has sinned.

Our good deeds, personal achievements, and attempts at being better people cannot erase our sins or earn salvation. We need God's forgiveness.

The Bible teaches that sin separates us from God. But God has not abandoned humanity. He loves us and has made a way for us to be reconciled to Him through Jesus Christ.

“for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God”

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 · WEB
“But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you.”

Even though we have fallen short, God has not stopped loving us. He has made a way for us to come home.

02 · The good news

Jesus made a way for you.

God loves you.

And His love is more than words.

Morning light over a quiet desert landscape

Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

He came into the world and lived a sinless life. He willingly gave His life on the cross for our sins.

He was buried, and on the third day He rose again. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus made a way for us to receive forgiveness and be reconciled with God.

Salvation is a gift of God's grace. It is not something we can earn through good deeds or religious accomplishments. It is received through faith in Jesus Christ.

A First Prayer of Faith.

If you are ready to give your life to Jesus Christ, you can use this prayer as a starting point. The words themselves are not a formula—what matters is sincerely turning to Jesus in repentance and faith.

Lord Jesus, I recognize that I have sinned and that I need Your forgiveness.

I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I turn to You and place my faith in You.

Please forgive me, change my heart, and teach me to follow You. I give my life to You and receive You as my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Coming to Jesus is not the end of your story. It is the beginning of a new life.
